Mark Lewis has over 30 years experience working successfully as a mortgage broker, having run his own mortgage broking business since 2012. Mark joined Adept Private Finance in early 2020 to offer his Regulated Mortgage expertise to the Group, and his aims remain the same - to make the home- owning process as easy as possible, and to help take the stress of finding and arranging a suitable mortgage away from you. Whether you are moving home, buying for the first time, re-mortgaging or buying investment properties then he will be pleased to help, and he revels in the more complicated cases, as well as the straight-forward ones.
Dealing with professionals and individuals alike, Mark prides himself on providing a service that you will look to use and recommend time and again.
Most of Mark’s business comes from clients he has dealt with over the 30 years he has been providing mortgage advice, with repeat business and referrals now being the main source of business. He has also in the past been the chosen mortgage broker for many National Builders in the South Wales area. Mark is also a fluent Welsh speaker and is more than happy to conduct meetings in his native language.

Andrew Mallett
Senior Consultant
Andrew Mallett joined us in early 2022, having run his own financial services firm for 21 years. Having started in the industry in 1994, Andrew is educated to degree level in history, and is a member of Mensa.
Adopting a holistic approach when advising his clients, Andrew is not one for technical jargon. He aims to manage as much of the process as he can, even down to liaising with the Estate Agent and Solicitor, to alleviate as much of the client stress as possible.
Whilst he is based in South Wales, Andrew’s clients are UK-wide with a third of his business being generated from London and the South East. He specialises in advising self-employed individuals as well as Ltd Company Directors and has a substantial clientele within film and media circles. Andrew also specialises in advising his corporate clients on their Business Protection insurance needs.
In his spare time, Andrew enjoys supporting his two boys in the early stages of their careers and wider sporting endeavours.

Rob Capon
Director of motgates - london
After studying economics at University, Rob started his career in financial services in 1997, initially in pensions, life and savings products moving onto property finance in 2001. Following a stellar career, he went into semi-retirement in 2010 and focused on building his own property portfolio. Having got married in 2017 and now with two young children, he decided the time was right to get back to broking and has recently joined our team, expanding our reach into London where he will be networking with his old contacts and helping to develop and shape our lender panel and proposition.

Daniel Judd
SENIOR CONSULTANT
Dan has been a Mortgage Adviser for independent firms since 2003 and now often finds himself arranging mortgages for the children of his very first clients. He is qualified to advise on and arrange all types of mortgage including Residential, Buy to Let, 2nd charge, Lifetime and Equity release as well as all forms of Protection and insurance.
Dan initially came into the industry for a new challenge and that was exactly what he got. His Father an Engineer and his Mother an Office Manager, Financial Services didn't exactly run in the family but, at the time an aspiring home owner not really knowing which way to turn, he felt that the conventional bank / building society route to obtain a mortgage was not necessarily the most favourable and set to change it. Having run his own mortgage company for 10 years, Dan joined Adept in 2024 in order to further collaborate with other advisers, share the often onerous amount of admin and concentrate on his clients.
Dan is a keen cyclist and motorcyclist, he also enjoys DIY and spending time with friends and family.

Janice Macleod

Janice has been a Mortgage & Protection Adviser since 2017. With a wealth of knowledge and experience from her background in estate agency and lettings, she is able to advise from start to finish on the whole process both residential and Buy to Let.
Covering from First Time Buyers to complex cases she has experience across the whole mortgage market. Taking time to get to know her clients and their needs she takes pride in much of her work being repeat business or referrals from existing clients.
Janice is a keen horsewoman having competed her horses Internationally, her three young children also keep her busy!

Elizabeth Harris
COMPLIANCE MANAGER
Elizabeth has over 18 years’ experience in the compliance sector working in both large corporate environments and boutique advisory firms. Elizabeth specialises in the risk oversight management of mortgages, insurance and commercial credit products and is a qualified Compliance and Financial Crime Risk Practitioner. Elizabeth feels passionately about customer service and is a firm believer that regulation should complement the right
customer advice outcomes – rather than be seen as a barrier. She is often called upon by industry forums to contribute towards regulation change proposals by the Financial Conduct Authority.
When away from the desk, Elizabeth enjoys spending time with her husband and son in their camper van taking trips which involve either surfing or snowboarding!
Andy Fairclough
Group Founding Director
Andy has spent the past 35 years working in Financial Services & Property and the
last 18 years in private practice advising clients on property strategy and debt raising for property investments.
Andy has extensive knowledge in helping clients build property portfolios and put
loan structures to support each client’s aspirations for growth.
Many of his clients have been with him over 20 years and this loyalty is a core ethos
for the group.
His private life consists of coffee, wine and walking the family’s 4 dogs.

Tracey Fairclough
Client Service Director
Tracey has been involved in looking after businesses since 2007. A highly focused manager of process, with service at the core of her ethos. Sage 50 trained.
Assists the team with all service issues.
Tracey looks after all the groups compliance and lender panels, she also runs the central office to make sure that all clients have the best possible outcomes.
