No bad news and gloom allowed!
Hello all, it’s Friday and January is more than half way through, which is good news as it’s potentially the most depressing month of the year. It’s been a cold, dark week on the weather side of things, but today is looking sunny and the outlook for the weekend is much of the same. So what do you have planned this weekend? We say make the most of it and get out and about and breathe in that fresh air! There’s so much you can do that doesn’t necessarily cost the earth too, because January can also be a tight month financially – just taking the family for a walk, a chat, and a catch up is great for the soul. After all the bad news about mortgages, and finances in general, in the press over the last couple of months, today’s post is having no bad news and no gloomy subjects!
At Adept, Mark is planning to finish in the office a bit earlier today, after an unexpected and fairly successful week on the sales front. It seems that first time buyers are continuing to purchase, even before the Spring comes along, with a couple of new applications done by him this week alone – so the demand for property is still out there so far folks! Yes it’s slowed down, but the underlying current hasn’t gone away. This is a good reason to be optimistic, after the last few months of the doldrums. Mark’s off to Pontyclun tonight for a few well-earned pints of his favourite draught bitters, and maybe a little sing on the karaoke too – that should clear the pub! Andrew Mallett isn’t in the office today, he said he’s “working from home” – yeah right! His weekend has probably already started! Jodie is having a night out this weekend with Mark’s daughter – that always ends up being a little bit messy and a little bit late into the morning – but hey, what else are weekends for?
So whatever you’re doing this weekend, enjoy it, and savour the moments, and enjoy the fact that January will soon be over, and that the days are already getting longer and, hopefully, sunnier.
